Great location and lovely room
Stayed for one night to attend the London Palladium. Everything was lovely although I’d have liked some cups and more tea and milk, could only have one cup of tea in a cardboard cup!!
Very poor given this is the most expensive hotel I’ve ever stayed in! Used the luggage store after check out so we could better enjoy our day. Excellent service! Was also slightly disappointed we couldn’t get a drink in the hotel at spa online booking.
Great value central London hotel
A lovely weekend visit to London, made even better by staying at this hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was excellent and breakfast had everything you would want or could eat! The hotel is perfectly situated, we walked easily to / from Euston and also to / from Oxford Street, Covent Garden, Soho and Theatres. There are tube stops very close also if preferred. I'd e-mailed the hotel beforehand about visiting for my wife's birthday and we were very pleasantly surprised to find they had left a card and complementary bottle of wine on arrival! I'd thoroughly recommend this hotel, for location, value for money and helpful staff.
Lovely and clean hotel for a one night stay.
Hotel room was really modern and clean. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was lovely too. Breakfast the next day was very good and a bonus. Sometimes noisy corridors and the windows could do with updating, the noise from the street sounded as if we had left our window open! A cleaner knocked on our door at 8am when we were still sleeping, not sure why that happened?
Weekend in lindon
Good location for the west end and the stations. Friendly staff. On the down side the staff in a morning were very noisy when you wanted to sleep in. They were shouting to each other up the corridor. They need to have a little more respect for the customer.
Absolutely spectacular
Oh my goodness! This hotel was amazing! The staff from check in to security to the restaurant staff as well as housekeeping were the absolute nicest people I have encountered at a hotel! We were treated extraordinary!
Dreadful last minute let don. No apology. Avoid
Is this a joke? You cancelled our booking the night before and caused endless time and misery in us having to find alternative accommodation... Practically impossible on a Friday in London within 24 hours notice. You ruined our theatre and shopping weekend and just acted like no last min cancellation ignoring complaints at late spa online booking notice and no explanation or compensation. Now you wamt a review as if we went all along??? If nothing else you owe us a free night as courtesy for the chaos and upset caused to myself my daughter and grandchild. We could only get offered sub standard accommodation miles from our teatre plans incurring lits of taxi costs. Your response and interest level in the plight you caused? ZERO
Royal break
Hotel was nice and easy going. Rooms were modern and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, staff very helpful and friendly. The only fault i found was the first floor room we stayed in did not have double glazed windows, it was very noisy at evenings and a bir cool with curtains open. Otherwise i had no complaints staying here and will probably be going back, but on a higher floor spa online booking.
Bit of a shocker
This is a very strange hotel. Firstly it is HUGE - possibly the largest hotel I've seen in London, with corridors that seem to go on for miles. It is in two main sections, and we appeared to be in a section that was largely housing Afghan refugees on the floors above, but where security staff were everywhere to prevent them and other hotel guests from mixing. There were security guards at the entrance doors, by the lifts on each floor etc etc.
The hotel itself is tired and dated. Facilities are not awful, but nowhere near as good as the photos show. I didn't try breakfast so cannot comment on the food. Check-in was slow, and I was allocated a twin room instead of the double that I had booked - the hotel blamed hotels.com for this. The room was hot and stuffy, and the traffic noise outside was really bad, but luckily for me I am not a light sleeper. The two parts to the hotel have a courtyard in between them with a pub and seating area, and on returning in the evening noticed a mouse scurry across to hide behind one of the plant pots. On my final day, the concierge was very polite and helpful in storing luggage for a few hours. The staff try their best but this place is in dire need of refurbishment.
